American Friends of St Hilda's
American Friends of St Hilda’s is the collective name for the 650+ Senior Members who reside in the United States. It is also the name of the US-registered charity, founded in 1988 by US alumnae, such as Joanna Rose (Semel, English, 1952) with full support from the Principal Mary Moore and the College.
The American Friends of St Hilda’s College, Oxford is a registered [501(c)(3), charitable organization. Alumnae and friends may support the College through a gift to the American Friends. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
There is a small board that oversees the administration of the charity and current officers are Sarah Teale (English, 1980), Julie Fenster (PPE, 1979) and Judith Coquillette (Rogers, History, 1965).
Our American Friends network also comes together to help organise events and opportunities to connect for anyone who studied or taught at St Hilda’s (undergraduates, graduates, visiting and Junior Year Abroad students, Junior and Senior Research Fellows, and Visiting Fellows) and any other College representatives who may be visiting the US.
If you would like to become a coordinator for a particular city or part of the US or to volunteer in other ways, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the College’s Development Team. Email development@st-hildas.ox.ac.uk.
